Microsoft partnered with Treeview to create an AI-enabled digital twin for a multi-billion-dollar green hydrogen initiative. The solution combines predictive AI models with an interactive mixed reality experience, allowing stakeholders to visualize future energy production directly on site. During the feasibility phase, developers faced challenges in communicating complex data to diverse stakeholders, from investors to government officials and landowners. The digital twin solved this by transforming technical information into a clear, immersive experience that improved decision-making and strengthened engagement. The solution is now being deployed by Microsoft, the project’s green hydrogen developer, to support feasibility studies and fundraising efforts. The project was also showcased at Microsoft’s Co-Innovation Lab anniversary, attended by the Vice President of Uruguay, the Ministers of Industry and International Affairs, Microsoft’s VP of Business Development, and the Director of Innovation Labs.

As the wisdom of Cree elders faces the risk of being lost over time, Treaty 8 Polytechnic acted to safeguard this heritage through immersive storytelling powered by spatial computing. The Treaty Story is a once-in-a-generation initiative to collect, protect, and celebrate Cree traditions, highlighting that the Cree are not only part of Canada’s past, but also an essential part of its present and future. Developed as a living cultural archive, The Treaty Story ensures Cree knowledge continues to educate and inspire across Canada and beyond. The interactive app features a digital library exploring cultural pillars such as language, traditional foods, sacred plants, and the Cree way of life.
