The Challenge : Traditional therapy plays an important role, but there was an opportunity to extend that support beyond the therapy room — giving people more opportunities to practise, communicate and build confidence in their everyday lives. The vision was ambitious: Build technology that could bring evidence-informed speech pathology and cognitive exercises into people's everyday lives. The Vision: My Mind Matters Therapy wanted to create a digital ecosystem that could complement professional speech pathology and provide users with engaging, personalised tools they could access from mobile devices and tablets. Product Strategy: One of the most important parts of the project was understanding that this wasn't a conventional consumer app. Every interaction needed to have a clinical purpose. StepSharp approached the product from three core perspectives: The Clinician: How can therapists create meaningful, evidence-informed activities and support individual client therapy goals outside scheduled sessions? The User: How can someone with speech or cognitive challenges interact with the application easily, confidently, and independently in everyday life? The Business: How can the platform support multiple users, clinical account plans, and scalable future expansion alongside an evolving product roadmap? What We Built StepSharp developed the technology behind the My Mind Matters Therapy digital experience, bringing together the web platform and mobile/tablet applications into one unified experience. The Outcome: The biggest outcome wasn't simply launching an application. It was giving My Mind Matters Therapy a technology platform that could become part of its long-term vision.
