Valmont Industries is a global leader in developing infrastructure products for their clients and economies around the world. To increases customer communication and streamline the manufacturing handoffs, Dom & Tom collaborated with Valmont to develop a user friendly application that leverages the existing Valmont ERP system. The application allows their employees to update customer accounts, flag action items for the customers, create due date notifications and broadcast those notifications to all of the Valmont Teams. To better service their clients, Valmont Industries enlisted the design and development team at Dom & Tom to develop a mobile platform to provide real-time information to their customers around the globe.

The Milken Institute was a large undertaking as there were many disparate websites operated under the Milken umbrella. Dom & Tom was tasked with revising the information architecture to provide users with logical paths to information. In addition, we developed the site using Drupal CMS. We also developed a feature strategy centered around recirculating users through the vast amount of content in the Milken universe — increasing engagement on the site and improving the user experience.
Each year, almost 40% of all edible food is wasted in the U.S. In response to this crucial environmental and economic issue, MITRE and the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic conducted a pioneering household food waste study, enlisting a volunteer, representative sample of people to report their actual food waste. To make this idea a reality, the MITRE Food Waste Tracker app captures data from a Bluetooth-enabled kitchen scale and transmits it to MITRE via a mobile device.
