DBS Bank partnered with MariaDB to modernize its enterprise database infrastructure and reduce reliance on costly proprietary systems. The project involved migrating applications—from non-critical workloads to mission-critical banking and payment systems—to MariaDB TX. The implementation included microservices-based architectures, containerized deployments, real-time data streaming using MaxScale, and enhanced compliance and monitoring capabilities. Over the course of the project, DBS successfully transitioned more than 30 applications to MariaDB, achieving improved performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
